From my experience different teams have different reasons to follow slightly different definitions of key metrics like this one. There exists just no point trying to “make them consistent” - all of them are calling what are effectively different metrics by the same name, that’s all!
Agreed.. my only point is that "ask for definition". I have seen people discussing endlessly without understanding the calculations. Main disconnect comes between customer facing teams and operations. It is hilarious, at times :)
